Lead the Way Dog Training – Creating happy ever afters one tail at a time

Adventures Are Better When We’re Prepared! ☀️

Socialization isn’t just about meeting new people and dogs—it’s also about helping our pups experience the world safely and confidently.

As the weather warms up, remember that some dogs are more prone to overheating than others. Double-coated breeds, like Huskies and other northern breeds, as well as darker-colored dogs (black, dark brown, and brindle), can absorb more heat from the sun and may need a little extra support during outdoor adventures.

Here are a few tips to make summer outings more enjoyable:
💧 Bring plenty of fresh water.
🌳 Choose shady trails and take frequent breaks.
🕗 Plan walks during the cooler hours of the day.
🦺 Consider using a cooling vest to help your dog stay comfortable during outdoor adventures.

💜 One of Amy’s favorite summer essentials is the Spark Paws Chilltech™ Cooling Vest. It uses evaporative cooling technology to help keep dogs comfortable while exploring, and it’s even available in sizes designed for broad-chested breeds like Pit Bulls. When our dogs are comfortable, they’re more likely to enjoy positive experiences, build confidence, and create happy memories. Safe adventures lead to successful socialization! 🐾✨
