Staying with Us
We are going away on vacation. DO you know anyone who can take care of our pup while we are away?
Yes, Lead The Way!! Your trusted training team provides pet sitting services for pups who are in or have graduated from a training program.
How will I know what to do when my dog comes home from a board and train?
When your pup is ready to come home we will have 1-on-1 lessons in teaching you how to maintain the skills your pup has learned while they were with us. Our group classes are a great way for you and your pup to practice with your training team by your side. You also have your training support chat to ask questions anytime you are unsure or need more clarification the entire time of your program.
Will my dog remember me when they come home from the board and train?
Of course your pup will remember you. We often tell clients this is just like sending your kids to camp. They will be so excited to see you and show off their new skills
Will my dog be in a crate all day while they are at Lead The Way?
Your pup will have designated nap times in their room so that they can take in all of the new things they are learning.
Will my dog get to play with other dogs?
There are multiple dogs at Lead The Way, including resident dogs. So their interaction is determined by the skills they need to work on.
What do I need to bring for a board and train?
Once we schedule your board and train a list of items is emailed so that your pup has all they need while they are with us.
How does virtual training work?
We meet with you, go over your challenges, and begin teaching you ways to address the challenges. Then you have some homework to do and practice until the next time we meet.
How will I know if I am doing the training right?
Each program includes virtual support where you can share videos of your practice so that your training team can help finesse the training skill you are unsure of. And of course, cheer you on!
What happens after my program is over?
You can continue practicing with the community with Lead the Way’s continuing education options in our group classes and or 1-on-1 sessions. We have options for all skill sets to continue to practice and expand your skills.
What if I choose a smaller program and decide I want a more in-depth program as we are working together?
No problem. As we are working together on your goals we will give you the option to upgrade to the next program. LTW credits your investment to the next program if you upgrade while still in the program.
We trained with LTW in the past and our life has some big things coming. I don’t know what to do to get my dog ready for all of the exciting things. Do you have a program for that?
