Meet Saber — a handsome boy who’s already come such a long way 💜
Saber’s early life was anything but stable. His paperwork tells a story of being bounced around, and it was clear he hadn’t had the consistency and care he needed early on.
His paw-rents flew to pick him up, and the moment he stepped off the plane, Saber was shut down. That fear and confusion carried on for weeks. Over time, that shutdown turned into reactivity — barking, lunging, even the occasional nip — especially toward other dogs and people.
But here’s the good part: Saber is making amazing progress. 🐶
✅ He used to cry and howl at night. Now, he sleeps peacefully in his crate.
✅ He used to panic when left alone. Now, he’s learning to feel more at ease.
✅ Potty training had a rocky start, but he’s not having accidents now.
✅ Walks used to be stressful, but Saber now enjoys his daily outings with much more confidence and calm.
✅ He’s not destructive indoors and is learning to settle calmly with his family.
His paw-rents are committed to helping him succeed — not just with training, but by truly understanding him. 🧡
Their dream? To take Saber on peaceful family walks in their local park, to enjoy chill afternoons at cafés and breweries, and someday, to take him on family vacations. They’re also hoping he’ll be the perfect big (fur) brother when they grow their family.
Saber may not have had the best start, but with time, patience, and the support of his devoted family and the Lead the Way Team, he’s learning that he’s finally home. 🏡💜
