For our #SuccessSaturday, let’s meet Leia, a feisty, food-loving 1-year-old Beagle who came to us with loads of personality—and a list of challenges just as long. From stealing socks and counter surfing to losing herself in every scent she found on a walk, Leia was full of energy and eager to explore (sometimes a little too much!). 😅
Her daycare even described her as “needing some doggy etiquette,” especially when it came to listening to social cues from other dogs. At home, she struggled with greetings, leash manners, and focusing when excited or overstimulated.
With the help of her dedicated family, Leia joined our Top Paw Program, and over three months, she’s made incredible progress! She’s doing great with her “Touch” and “Watch Me” cues, staying more focused even with distractions or new people around. 💜
She’s also working through some of her nerves—like feeling unsure about her harness or jumpy with sudden sounds—and getting more confident each day. Adjusting her crate routine and adding calm time at home has helped her settle and make better choices.
Leia has come a long way, with more learning and growth ahead—she’s on the right track, and we’re cheering her on every step of the way. 🎉
