Happy Birthday Nina! Everyone at Lead The Way, as well as at Heidi’s house, is celebrating Nina- not just her years but her victorious and heartwarming story.
Nina’s journey has had many high points as well as obstacles to overcome. After adoption through Ruff Life Rescue, Nina, an American Pit Bull Terrier, required multiple surgeries and rehabilitation. She landed in the loving arms of Heidi, whose incredible gifts provided Nina with the love, patience and training she needed to become the loving catalyst she is today in Heidi’s family! Jordynn, Heidi’s niece, was once afraid of dogs and is now best friends with Nina.
Nina has also become an incredible source of comfort and support for Heidi’s mom. With her gentle and intuitive nature, Nina stays by her side offering companionship, and even alerting the family when something feels off. Over time, Heidi has learned to recognize Nina’s signals, becoming true partners in caring for others.
Nina’s journey is a beautiful reminder that it truly takes a village. From Ruff Life Rescue and her foster family to Heidi’s unwavering dedication, training, and the love of her family, every step of Nina’s journey has been filled with compassion, patience, and second chances.
