Let's face it, it's impossible to think about your dream life or long-term goals if you are coming home to messes, can't be around other dogs or people, or are worried that your dog is going to hurt someone else.
Our team of trainers is experienced with new puppies, adoptions, fosters, adult dogs moving home and all of the behaviors and challenges along the way. Our reward-based philosophy allows us to teach you how to understand why your dog is acting how they are and gives you all the tools needed to refocus and shift that behavior.
The process starts with a conversation about your dog and the struggles you are facing in a complimentary phone consultation.
We take the information learned in your consultation and kickstart your training success in a 1-on-1 private lesson with Lead The Way creator, Amy. In this lesson your biggest struggles will be addressed, you'll learn WHY your dog is acting the way they are, and we'll talk about your goals so that Amy can create a custom training blueprint to help you get there.
Our team will share the training blueprint with you and what the support looks like for your family and dog to move forward.
“If you are looking for excellent dog training, the Lead The Way is your best option. My puppy is a new dog after being with Lead The Way. They are very caring and knowledgeable. They know what they are doing and what they are talking about. Lead The Way can help you for sure.”

Many of us know that it takes a village to raise a child. Well, raising or rescuing a dog is no different! We become your support team and resource for questions, accountability, practice, and community. You will never get stuck guessing what to do next or not knowing who to ask for any dog training-related questions. We guarantee you'll feel the Lead The Way difference in your very first call with our team.
Through your personal private group chat, you will have access to your canine experts 24/7. We provide a team of professional canine communicators to answer your questions anytime you have them.
Your team of trainers will meet with your family privately to accelerate your communication in your team and address your specific questions and concerns.
In our All About Dog’s classes we answer all of the doggo questions. The classes are all recorded and we can share any topic you need which you can watch at your convenience, as many times as you need to!
In our stay-over programs, your equipment is included! This helps set your family up for success and safety. We also include the AKC CGC title test in these programs.
Amy started training and working with seeing-eye dogs when she was 13 years old. She continued to hone her skills, as time went on, working in canine rehabilitation and then supporting behavior shifts in tough rescue cases. In 2007, she left her corporate job and started Lead The Way so that she could pursue her passion of helping families and dogs find their happy ever after full-time.
We totally understand where you're coming from and managing budgets, especially these days, is important for our families too. The reality is that no 2 dogs or training programs look the exact same. We aren't a flat fee, pet store program of 6-8 group classes. Some dogs need to stay with us for 10 days, some dogs can get all of the help they need entirely virtually, some dogs need more practice, some families need a service or support animal.
What we can tell you is:
